(609) 884 2779Harry’s Ocean Bar & Grille is seeking qualified, hard-working and personable bartenders to join our restaurant team. In this position, you will be responsible for preparing and servicing alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for guests and servers. We are looking for a candidate who is warm, calm under pressure, knows how to be a team player, and work with urgency throughout the shift.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons
- Interact with customers, take orders and serving food and drinks
- Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendation
- Accurately take customer orders and relay them to the kitchen staff
- Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails
- Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
- Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
- Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
- Comply with all food and beverage regulations
- Use POS system to accurately calculate the patron’s bill
- Maintain a clean and presentable bar at all times.
Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 2-3+ years bartending experience preferred
- Basic math skills
- Willingness to work weekends, evenings, and holidays
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and be on your feet for 8-hour shifts
- Familiarity with restaurant POS software a plus (Digital Dining)
- Exceptional customer service skills
- TIPS or other alcohol training certification
