Halloween lovers rejoice! Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts released its Halloween Happenings lineup last week and it’s full of haunted delights to get your heart pumping. As always, Cape May offers a number of Halloween events to thrill and entertain you.

The Gloomy Apparition 

Here’s a murder mystery that’ll keep you on your toes. Helen was looking forward to a relaxing stay, alone in a remote seaside town. However, things took a turn for the supernatural and now Helen finds herself at the center of a mystery she needs help solving. Join other amateur sleuths at the Emlen Physick Estate for this immersive theatrical event and solve the mystery of The Gloomy Apparition! $30 for adults; $25 for children ages 3-12. 

 

Magic and Mystery House Tour 

Go back in time to the Victorian Era and learn about the Victorians’ fascination with magic, illusion, the mysterious, and the odd. Hear about the Great Lafayette, the world’s greatest magician, Houdini, the astounding escape artist, Ionia, the Goddess of Mystery, Pepper’s Ghost, is it real, or just an Illusion? Ghosts of Cape May Trolley Tour 

Psychic medium Craig McManus is back to guide you through his paranormal findings in Cape May on a 30-minute trolley through the village streets. No one knows our resident ghosts better. $15 for adults, $8 for children (ages 3-12) 

 

Annual Scarecrow Alley 

The grounds of Cape May’s original haunted house, the Emlen Physick Estate are transformed for the spooky Halloween season. Scarecrow Alley is the highlight of the Estate’s festive decorations. Walkthrough and vote for your favorite ghoulishly gruesome or foolishly funny scarecrow.
