Plus, it’s not October without Oktoberfest! NEW at Harry’s Cape May: an Oktoberfest celebration to end all Oktoberfest celebrations.

Oktoberfest at Harry’s | October 15

Come raise a glass to great beer! Celebrate Oktoberfest in Cape May New Jersey. Join us at Harry’s Ocean Bar & Grille on Saturday, October 15th from 12pm to 8pm, in honor of this timeless German tradition. Check out our Facebook page for more information. RSVP here.

Enjoy two delicious brews by Hidden Sands Brewing Company:

Oktoberfest Ale: A hazy Oktoberfest-inspired Amber Ale made with German malt, lightly toasted and sweet with a Noble Hop aroma. Medium body with a crisp taste!

Pumpkin Blonde Ale: A light-bodied, easy-drinking blonde ale with a spiced aftertaste. Made with pumpkin, ginger, and cinnamon to create the perfect seasonal beer.

October Halloween Events in Cape May

Magic & Mystery House Tours

Join the Magic & Mystery House Tour for a look back at the Victorian Era and the widespread fascination with mystery and illusion. Learn about famous Harry Houdini who captivated audiences with his risky and elaborate escapes, the Goddess of Mystery, Ionia, a Belgian beauty Victorians worshipped for her spectacles of magic, The Great Lafayette, who became known as the world’s greatest magician, and Pepper’s Ghost, a technique still used today, even at Disney World!

Ghost Walk with Craig McManus

Walk with Cape May’s local Ghost guru, Craig McManus, through the haunted streets of Victorian Cape May while he points out local spots of paranormal activity. Keep your eyes peeled, you never know when or where an apparition may appear.

Graveyards, Ghosts, & Mansion Combo Tour

The Graveyards, Ghosts, & Mansion Combo tour leaves no stone unturned when it comes to stories of spirits in Cape May. Start with a trolley ride to the historic Cold Spring Presbyterian Cemetery to see the graves of Dr. Emlen Physick and his family. Here, you’ll listen to EVPs (electronic voice phenomena) recorded by tour guides and staff at the estate. Upon your return, you learn about some unusual Victorian funereal customs and visit several rooms with even more EVPs. This Tour begins and ends at the Physick Estate.

Historic Haunts Combo Tour

Take an evening ride through the Historic District and hear stories of haunted Cape May. Step off the trolley at the Physick House Museum with your guide and see Cape May’s only Victorian house museum, reputed to be haunted, as you learn about Victorian Spiritualism. This tour combines a Ghosts of Cape May trolley tour with a visit to the Physick House. In the museum, guides will compare the methods of spirit contact used by the Victorians with those of today’s paranormal investigators. Selected rooms on both floors are included in the tour. Begins and ends at the Ocean Street trolley stop.

Ghosts of Cape May Trolley Tour

Psychic medium Craig McManus is back to guide you through his paranormal findings in Cape May on a 30-minute trolley through the village streets. No one knows our resident ghosts better.

Annual Scarecrow Alley | October 9 through November 7, 2020

The grounds of Cape May’s original haunted house, the Emlen Physick Estate are transformed for the spooky Halloween season. Scarecrow Alley is the highlight of the Estate’s festive decorations. Walk through and vote for your favorite ghoulishly gruesome or foolishly funny scarecrow.

This October Cape May offers fun, spooky, and frightful holiday events for everyone. With fun seasonal happenings running all autumn long, you’ll love Halloween on the Shore.
